How Secure is My Password lets you know just that
That's a handy set of rules to keep in mind, but How Secure is My Password helps us understand why they're important.
It's basically like a full-screen version of one of those password-strength meters websites sometimes use. But instead of showing you a bar going from "weak" to "strong", it shows you an estimation of how long your password would take to crack. That's a much more visceral way to understand why your password is strong.
For example, when I entered "rabbit", it came back with "your password is one of the 500 most common passwords. It could be cracked almost instantly". "rabbit5" would take two hours, "$rabbit5" would take 38 days, and "$rabbitZ5" would take 237 years. It's quite enlightening to see what a difference three simple characters can make.

Heidi Montag Tells In Touch: "Lipo Gave Me Cellulite!"
After she famously underwent 10 procedures in one day, Heidi Montag could have gone on to be the poster girl for plastic surgery. But today, the former Hills star tells In Touch she regrets every nip and tuck.
?Getting lipo is my biggest regret,? Heidi tells the new issue of In Touch, on newsstands now. And though she had perfectly smooth legs prior to the surgeries, Heidi was horrified when photos surfaced depicting what appeared to be cellulite on her thighs just a few months after the body-contouring procedure. ?I can?t believe I did this to myself,? she laments.
While Heidi, 25, has worked hard to lessen the dimpling with a strict diet and exercise regimen, she?s no longer the confident beach babe she once was. ?I?m so insecure about my legs,? she tells In Touch. ?I rarely wear shorts.?
Heidi also strongly discourages anyone from going down the same road. ?Try to lose weight and eat healthily,? she advises. ?It?s less painful, cheaper and more beneficial.?
Jennifer Lawrence's Pre-Weekend Luggage Loadup
Looking to be ready for a weekend getaway, Jennifer Lawrence joined her mom in loading luggage into one of the family's cars in Santa Monica, CA on Friday afternoon (June 29).
The "Hunger Games" hottie showed off her curves in a tight grey top with bright red trousers as she showed off her sweet side by opening the gate for her mom - causing her to lose her balance a bit before finishing up the packing job.
Miss Lawrence's summertime travels come after a report from Us magazine tells that she recently enjoyed a night on the town with "Queen of California" crooner John Mayer.
With her boyfriend Nicholas Hoult nowhere to be found, Jen and John hit up Medieval Times restaurant, with an Us insider dishing of the scene, "They were playful and nudging shoulders."
The source added that Mayer was "implying that he wanted to get [Jennifer] drunk," but another person in the know tells that he was unsuccessful in doing so.

Tom Cruise And Katie Holmes Are Divorcing!
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are divorcing after five years of marriage, Holmes' attorney Jonathan Wolfe has confirmed.
"This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family," Wolfe said. "Katie's primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter's best interest."
The couple, who had not been spotted together publicly since February, wed in a lavish ceremony in Italy in November 2006.
It was the first marriage for Katie, 33, who was the one to file for the divorce on June 28, but did so anonymously.
"Katie has filed for divorce and Tom is deeply saddened and is concentrating on his three children. Please allow them their privacy," Tom's rep, Amanda Lundberg, said.
Katie, who also failed to appear at the London premiere of Rock of Ages to support Tom, is seeking sole legal and primary residential custody of Suri, the couple's 6-year-old daughter.
Tom had recently spoken publicly about his soon-to-be ex, calling her "an amazing woman."
It is the third divorce for the actor, who split from Mimi Rogers in 1990 and second wife Nicole Kidman in 2001.
Boomshine is a soothing-yet-frustrating time waster
That single click triggers a chain reaction; circles start exploding, and other circles colliding with the shockwaves explode as well, creating their own shockwaves, which then catch other circles.
It's been done before, yes, but this one is a great iteration. The soundtrack is mellow, with lots of piano and some nice percussion (not electronic - it sounds like drums).
At each level you need to make a certain number of circles explode to go on to the next level. I got up to level 12, where you get 60 circles and need to make 55 of them explode. And then I kept trying and trying, but simply couldn't get it. I did get to 54 circles a couple of times, but as they say, you don't get points for trying.
There's no time limit, so you can carefully study the pattern of motion and place your click at the exact right place to create the best chain reaction. I've found that clicking near the middle of the screen works quite well, especially if the balls are slowly moving in that direction. By the time the first shockwave dies off, the oncoming balls usually hit it and the chain reaction continues.
What level did you reach? Screenshots please!

LG Optimus L7 review: a beautiful, entry-level Android 4.0 smartphone with LG's new UI 3.0
Consider your last trip to the car dealership. Let's say you saved up and hit up BMW. While you might've looked at -- or even test driven -- the M3, there's a good chance that your better judgment (and your budget) led you to drive off of the lot with a 328i. Sure, it's only got a four-cylinder engine inside, but the car offers great handling and good gas mileage. Better yet, you didn't have to spend an atrocious amount of money to get behind the wheel. The same goes with mobile phones. While it's fun to dream of owning a One X, a Galaxy S III or an Optimus 4X HD, they're called superphones for a reason: they cater to power-hungry individuals with a fair amount of disposable income. Like supercars, they're designed to bring people into the store, even if shoppers ultimately leave with something else in hand.
More Info
Enter the LG Optimus L7. Positioned at the higher end of the company's entry-level lineup, it aims to be the 328i of smartphones. Sure, no one's lining up to drool over it, but LG is aiming for this to be a practical choice with just enough elegance and pizzaz to keep consumers grinning. Of course, that sweet spot is difficult to achieve, and we've seen plenty of smartphone manufacturers miss the mark in attempting to balance performance and amenities with a palatable price. So, does the Optimus L7 rise to the challenge? We've spent the past week with it as our daily driver, and we're ready to make the call. Read on for the answer.

Plight of the Zombie arrives with over 30 deliciously brainy puzzles

Although I'm not normally a fan of games that require me to think a lot, a new puzzle game named Plight of the Zombie has me rather engaged at the moment. In it, you must figure out how to collect as many brains as possible all while trying to avoid getting killed by those blasted uninfected humans.
- Play over 30 deliciously brainy puzzles
- Support a savory cause by helping end zombie hunger
- Appetizing store with plenty of tasteful accessories for your zombies
- It’s free! Some people say there’s no such thing as a free lunch. We beg to differ...
Plan your route, grab some brains and move on to the next level. If you get stuck, you can optionally purchase items to help get you past the harder levels but it's more fun trying to get past them the old school way. Plight of the Zombie is available now for free in the Google Play Store. You can jump below to check out the game trailer and grab the download.

Splashtop for iPad gets major update: Retina support, easier remote desktopping (update: but at a price)
If you wake up to find the Splashtop Streamer widget on your PC or Mac begging to be updated, then it's probably worth it -- especially if you have a new iPad lying around. Splashtop 2 has been optimized to work with the Retina display, which makes it a cinch to squeeze your entire Windows or OS X desktop onto the 10-inch screen without it looking terrible. The system has also been redesigned to avoid the need to enter IP addresses, passwords, port numbers or Google account details. Instead, you'll create a new Splashtop 2 login that should work once across all your devices. The UI seems a lot friendlier, there's a new in-app purchase to "supercharge" network performance (edit: also required for connections outside of the same WiFi network if you're a new customer, see below), plus there's improved support for fluid video streaming at up to 30fps. (Alas, there's still no fullscreen support for Windows Media Center users though.) The new streamer and iPad app are available now, while the Android update should arrive soon. Want to see it in action? Head past the break for the promo video.
Update: We didn't fully appreciate this at first, but cross-network remote desktopping is no longer free to new customers. If you're coming to Splashtop for the first time, you have to make the in-app purchase ($1 per month or $10 per year) to enable "Anywhere Access." That said, the Splashtop 2 app for iPad is currently selling for $2 -- an 80 percent discount which largely compensates for the first year of charges.

Kristen Stewart Opens Up About Fronting Balenciaga's Florabotanica
It was recently revealed that she's joining the many stars to foray into the fragrance world, and now Kristen Stewart has opened up about the beauty product endeavor.
As for the particulars, the "Twilight" actress was tapped to front Balenciaga Paris' new women?s scent named Florabotanica - with the perfume slated to be released this September.
Also talking about her fashion sense, new movie role and acting, in general, highlights from Miss Stewart's interview with WWD are as follows:
On her fragrance gig being an unlikely one:
?On a base level, the reason you want to wear a fragrance is because you want to smell attractive. That in itself is a pretty mature idea, especially considering the teenager I was. I was never the one wearing my mom?s perfume and trying to be sexy. I was like hanging out with my brothers and doing the opposite of that."
On her relief in being pleased with the scent:
?I?m very lucky that I like the fragrance, because I would have done anything with [Balenciaga designer Nicolas Ghesquire]. And I?m a terrible liar.. There is something natural about it. It?s very alive. I think that as a young person wearing it ? considering that I?ve never worn a scent ? it kind of puts you on this level of, like, ?Whoa, check me out.??
On feeling ?lucky? and ?really excited? about the fragrance effort:
?Even though, yes, it?s an ad and we?re selling a fragrance ? I don?t want to sound pretentious ? but I want to be part of this art project. I want to be around Nicolas when he gets excited about fabric. I want to see the look on his face when he sees me put on a dress.?
On the print campaign, which was photographed by Steven Meisel:
?I think that?s kind of perfect for this particular ad. When I first stood there, I was like, ?OK, do you want me to show the curves of the dress? Do you want me to stand like this? Like that (striking statuesque poses)?? And they were like, ?Just be comfortable.? I find when you do a really good photo shoot, you?ve unlocked something that you didn?t necessarily know you had in you. There are qualities that certain clothes, or certain environments and certain people, bring to the surface that can be surprising. But that doesn?t mean that they?re not authentic.?
On her style icon and not being influenced by others when it comes to fashion:
?I think the hottest chick that?s ever walked the earth is Brigitte Bardot, and I couldn?t be more different from her. So my style icons and stuff, even if I look up to them and think they?re really cool, I don?t think [they find their] way into my own sense of fashion.?
On her transformation for her upcoming role in 'Cali':
?I?m going to get into the best shape of my life. I?m going to look like a stripper. I?m going to look like a porn star.?
On acting being all about self-discovery, for her:
?A lot of times, you?ll read a script and you can identify with things that are very surprising, things that kind of shock you about yourself. And the process of making the movie is finding out why those feelings occurred. Sometimes they?re not always easy to define.?

Rihanna's Central London Sweat Session
Taking a break from her television production efforts to keep up on her physical fitness, Rihanna paid a visit to Fitness First gym in Central London on Thursday evening (June 28).
Clad in a black Adidas tracksuit and black Brooklyn hat with sunglasses and a gold chain, the 24-year-old singer signed autographs as she exited her hotel before making the short trip to the nearby gym.
The sweat session follows quite the ambitious previous night for RiRi, as she worked with Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts and fashion designer Henry Holland until the wee hours of the morning on her still unnamed Sky Living fashion show.
Tweeting about the endeavors once wrapped up, the "We Found Love" singer tweeted, "To my friends at Sky Living, thank you for working with me all the way til 5am this morning! I?m happy to be a part of the fam, WELL DONE!!"
Set to debut this fall, Rihanna's program will "give an insight into how the stylist-designer-musician collaboration works; for cover shoots, for tour wardrobes, within an musician?s specific image."
