About 65% of sports fans that watch games on mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets are using them to follow football -- far more than any other U.S. sport, according to new data.

Elephant Quest is an addictive, deep platformer

elephantquest
When someone tells me about a "platformer", my first thought is that it's probably a simple game that mainly revolves around running and jumping around, with a minimal plot. [Play a Zelda game! -Ed]

Elephant Quest is one platformer that managed to prove me completely wrong. Yes, you do run and jump around, and you also shoot at stuff. But the game has much, much more going for it.

Basically, as you run, jump and shoot, you gain experience points and level up. Hitting Space brings you into an interface where you can convert your experience points into Charisma, Intelligence, Agility and Dexterity points. Once you've "specialized" your points, you then get to pick what exact skills you'd like to enhance in each field. For example, you could use your dexterity to enhance your weapons or increase your swiftness.

The game is played in a huge maze; you go through rooms using doors, and there's a large map. As the name implies, there are quests you can take, too. For example, one quest had me searching all over the place for ten balloons.

The bottom line is that this is a surprisingly deep game that just might ensnare you for a good bit longer than you intended to play. Beware!

It looks likes LeAnn Rimes is going through a rough patch. The singer has entered a treatment facility for what is being called emotional issues. Rimes will spend 30 days at an undisclosed location to deal with some of her problems or as she is calling them emotional issues. I don?t exactly know what that means but it clearly means she is having some troubled times. That or she is really in the facility for something else and her camp came upwiththat excuse, just a thought. LeAnn issued this statement to People magazine regarding her need to seek out treatment. ?This is just a time for me to emotionally check out for a second and take care of myself and come back in 30 days as the best 30-year-old woman I can be. All the things in my life will be there when I get out, but you know what? I?m hoping they?re not going to affect me as much. I?ll have the tools to know how to deal with them.? She may be spending time at the treatment center but Rimes won?t be on lock down for the whole 30 days she is there. She will get weekends off [...]

RAWR: Samsung Canada Wins The Internet With This Custom Galaxy S III

rawr-9It all started with a simple Facebook message from a loyal Samsung fan to the company's Canadian Facebook page. "I was just wondering if I could get a free Galaxy S3?" asked Shane. And for good measure the Samsung fanboy included a picture of a dinosaur going rawr. It wasn't a very good drawing but it was cute. And cute counts. Shane himself, age 26, told TechCrunch today he is far from an artist. Artist or not, he's now the proud owner of a Samsung Galaxy S III with his artwork adorning the backside -- and he got the customized phone for free.
